Csound Activities for the XO
I am working on a variety of Activities for the XO. Currently, I am developing a Csound editor.
It is my hope that the activities I develop help other developers learn how to work with the XO and Csound.
Ideally, the good people at OLPC would like us to use the pre-existing python interface, so I'm also trying to compile a manual on how to use the python interface. (I haven't been able to find a thorough one online) So if you have worked on or developed the interface, please contact me.

Hi,
I am currently working on the manual for CsoundXO, when it is in a more stable state, I'll start looking for translators to spanish.
The preliminary version can be browsed here:
www.mentelibre.info/htmlXO
(there have been a few other changes in cvs).
All comments and suggestions very welcome.
It would be great if the manual (or at least opcode entries) was somehow easily integrated into the new XO editors. If html is not acceptable, I can investigate generating plain text for the opcode entries.
Cheers,
Andrés

I am looking at creating a simpler smaller-footprint version of Csound for OLPC. Aim is to use less of the flash-disk and less power when loading.
Plans afoot, but no real action until after Linux Audio Conference this coming weekend.
Also some security stuff waiting for 5.08 to complete

anything that needs to be done
I am working on a toolkit for activity development. Also
helping with anything that needs to be added/fixed in the
API/Python bindings/Interfaces library.

An Activity to sonify images
Hi,
I plan to develop an Activity to sonify images. I have already made some tests, but I'm still designing the interface and deciding which features to implement.
I would also like to help others for their projects.

Hello
Hello,
I'm Jake. I received my XO some time ago, though I haven't had the time until recently to start developing activities. I definitely have a few ideas, though I won't know which one I'll start with until I dive in.
Which leads me to this question: Does anyone have any suggestions about how to start developing activities in a relatively expedient fashion?
Best,
Jake
Live Performance
Hi,
My name is Adam Smith-Kipnis and I just got my XO yesterday. I'm looking forward to exploring both the collaborative and live performance potential of the XO. I'm especially interested in loop based music and anything DJ related.
Cheers!

making music without leaving the xo
Hi,
I have had an XO since February, and have been using it to learn csound, while toying with simple applications in sugar. My latest thing is trying to produce music entirely within the XO - very simple beginnings so far using Victor's csndsugui (a huge step forward for me - thanks Victor!) - description and link to some code at http://motekulo.blogspot.com/2008/05/for-while-i-have-been-keen-to-test-...
