Confused before I've begun

I'm completely confused by the state of MacCsound - I tried 1.3 with 5.09, but to no avail. I am completely unsure if MacCsound should work on Intel Dual Core iMac Mini OS X 10.5.7 Sooo I'm going to ask a simple question... To get going with cSound... Which version of what things should I have on my 10.5.7 intel Mac? I don't mind which editor I use. But I want a 'load and go' solution. |

A few hints...
Try the csound5GUI that comes in the csound package. It works well except i am still having some copy paste issues in its editor. QuteCsound has a better editor. QuteCsound is my favorite editor right now.
Go with QuteCsound
The next release of Csound will be dumping Csound5GUI in favor of QuteCsound, so you're better off going that route. Also, get the latest versions of both Csound and QuteCsound, as the Csound5 API was updated fairly recently, so an older version of one won't work with the other.
