I just downloaded Csound 5.07, and I downloaded Python 2.5 to my computer in order to run Csound, and I am having some trouble getting it to run. I keep getting error messages when I try to run winsound.exe to compile my .orc and .sco files. I have been using Csound 4.something on my old Windows 98 machine with great success. Has the syntax of csound changed greatly? Do I need some front end to simplify matters? I am not a programmer, but a musician that really appreciates the potential of Csound. Any help getting started would be greatly appreciated.

When I try to render an .orc
When I try to render an .orc and a .sco using the winsound console, a message stating that an error ocurred appears on the screen and csound quits. I've been using an older version csound on my Win98 for a few years, so I'm not a total neophite; however, I'm having trouble getting verson 5.07 to run on my new computer.
