Hi,
sorry im new and I cant seem to find a helpful enough topic.
I'm looking for the easiest way to plug my guitar for example into my laptop and using an instrument that I've defined in csound, any input would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Recommendations from a beginner
Hi nicksheqz,
first of all, I think, you need to install an ASIO-driver. I tried ASIO4ALL and it worked - honestly said with the buzzmachines. I didn't try it with CSound, but for me it means it works generally. Now it should be possible to play via an active microphone or pickup, but please note, guitar pickups are mostly passive. An amplifier with a line-out should be installed between your guitar and the laptop. I don't know, how to read in a audio stream. From the first review of the CSsound manual, I assume the instructions "in", "inch", "ins" or "soundin" can be used. But this is part of the experts, and I'm a beginner too.
I hope it helps a little bit.
