One other study on random segment generated waveform.
This time i have used gen 7 (linear segment). Every waveform last 0.125 sec.
and from 2 to 64 segment (each repeted 16 times). Plus reverb, pan, etc.
(made with lua).
ciao,
fran.

francesco's blogSegmenti - nextToAnxietySubmitted by francesco on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 14:01.One other study on random segment generated waveform. (made with lua). ciao, SegmentiSubmitted by francesco on Mon, 01/04/2010 - 17:45.I was exploring waveform made by random number. I decide to use Gen 16, that create different shape from points. Then I would like to make a unique sound made by many waveform, starting from the more simple (2 segments for half wave), adding a segment every some new notes. Some random clipping, some reverb, and this is the result. ciao, InDeep with csdSubmitted by francesco on Sun, 05/24/2009 - 21:14.This is another version of the same project, but now with the csd file. The main instruments are: 1) a filtered noise, with two resonant filters in series (adapted from an instrument by Eric Lyon, on Csound Book), and, 2) a random step wave (adapted from an instrument by Steven Cook). The score is made using a simple python program (I'll post this next time, but now it's to much chaotic!). ciao, P.S.: I prefer first version, but this is more short! It is only a way into my study of Mr. Tobiah's orchestra, of music, of csound, of python, of myself (in spite of my venerable age), and many other things. At the basis there is granular techniques, more exactly grainlet technique, cause there are some parameter linkage. Mr. Tobiah had a great idea. Thanks. Hasta, francesco. My progress in challenge workSubmitted by francesco on Tue, 05/05/2009 - 12:02.I'm try to find somethings better in my research ... Work in progress, but: Actually this is a sample of the work. It would be granular synthesis but recall me my kitchen sounds. francesco. Short? Composition ChallengeSubmitted by francesco on Tue, 04/28/2009 - 20:59.This is my little work. It's made in part with python and then with some manual work. The bells are from JC Risset. ciao, francesco |
